"Last weekend’s hunting event with US Warriors Outdoors brought together my passion for hunting and my respect and admiration for those who have served our country in the armed services. USWO provides a therapeutic, safe and fun outdoor experience for our veteran heroes in quality environments."
Karl Mecklenberg: Former linebacker for the Denver Broncos and 5-time Pro Bowler.

"It has been 42 years since I got out of the service and I have never been treated and appreciated like I have been since I met the team from U.S. Warriors Outdoors, the USWO Program and all the volunteers that support it. What your group does as well as all the people that support the USWO Program is provide me with that Welcome Home Feeling.  People that I have never met make me feel at home and very comfortable to be around them.

I never had that when I returned from Vietnam.  I got spit on while I was sitting in a wheel chair with my uniform on.  I was called a "baby killer" and other not so nice things.

I participated in a pheasant hunt in Nebraska recently and I was thanking the volunteers from USWO, Cabala's and Pheasants Forever and they would say NO -  we thank you!

Even if a veteran doesn't hunt or fish they would receive a great benefit just to be around people that actually care.  They may not understand all of what we did or had to do but they appreciate what we did and that it DID mean something.

Thank you Gene and U.S. Warriors Outdoors"
Mike Cini: Vietnam Army veteran -
100% disabled wounded hero.

"For me, it was the best weekend  hunt I have had in a while. The friends I made during the turkey hunt will always be part of my life. This organization brings people together that have things in common, the military, something most people wont understand and it creates a bond that will be ever lasting due to the  camaraderie that  we yearn for now that we're out of service. I will never forget how comfortable Tim and Gene made us feel that weekend with all the unfamiliar faces around."
Dan Rodriguez:
Operation Iraqi Freedom Navy – 100% disabled wounded hero.

wheelchair bound wounded hero. "US Warriors Outdoors provided the opportunity for me to challenge myself and rebuild the confidence I used to have to do the things I love but thought I had lost. USWO helped me realize that life doesn’t stop with new challenges but can continue and evolve. USWO provided and incredibly organized, safe and quality hunt for my father and I and surrounded us with caring, competent people in a very therapeutic environment. Great food, awesome people and great hunt. I am forever grateful".
